Blue Ribbon Campaign

Wear with pride...

Join hands with your neighbors; tie an aqua blue ribbon on your mailbox or a tree and wear a lapel ribbon (upside down to look like a water drop) to demonstrate your support for clean plentiful water. This constant presence shows your support for keeping the groundwater in the public trust. It shows that pumping of groundwater in large quantities has dire consequences to our environment and ultimately to us.

Blue Ribbon Lapel Pin ($2.00 each)
Tree or Mailbox Ribbon ($1.00 per foot up to 20 foot lengths)

In April of 2006 Neighborhood Guardians met with Maude Barlow the author of Blue Gold: The Fight To Stop Corporate Theft of the World's Water (with Tony Clark) and shared our Blue Ribbon Campaign vision with her and presented her with a lapel ribbon. She loved the idea of uniting all people concerned about water issues with the blue ribbons and is going to take our Campaign international! Thank You Maude!

On May 9, 2006 Neighborhood Guardians met Robert Glennon, author of Water Follies and presented him with a lapel ribbon.
